UIC Barcelona and IPD Dental Group reinforce their collaboration with training and research in digital innovation.

The two entities have renewed the collaboration agreement with the aim of continuing to promote training and the development of new solutions to improve the health and well-being of patients in the field of dentistry, through the IPD-UIC Barcelona Classroom in Digital Innovation.

Thus, the Classroom, attached to the Faculty of Dentistry, will continue to offer training initiatives aimed at students and faculty of the various master's degrees offered by the Faculty, as well as professionals in the sector, with a special focus on the field of dental restoration. In this new phase, in addition to the seminars focused on the digitalization of the dental sector and advanced restorative options, the Aula will go a step further with the promotion of research projects in digital dentistry.

Since the creation of the Aula, UIC Barcelona and the leading company in the design, manufacture and distribution of dental implant attachments, IPD Dental Group, will hold three seminars this year focused on the changes that digitalization implies in the work of dentists, how digitalization has modified workflows or the different restorative options it offers. In addition, a theoretical and practical course will be offered to bring participants closer to the latest technologies and techniques in digital dentistry.

This initiative not only reinforces the transfer of knowledge from the University to society, but also consolidates the Faculty of Dentistry of UIC Barcelona as a benchmark in innovation and collaboration with the industry.

With the continuity of the IPD-UIC Barcelona Classroom in Digital Innovation, the Faculty now has two classrooms and seven company chairs, which reflect the synergy between university education and the application of cutting-edge technologies in clinical practice, and contribute to the development of a more precise, efficient and patient-centered dentistry.
